TRUTH, POWER, & GLORY 2010
"Wearing a Cross? It's not Yours"
As God has smiled upon us this past year, it behooves us to look at where we are and what it is that God has called us to do. When I speak of US, I speak individually to us. Your responsibility for "yourself" entails every decision that you make about you, to you, and for you. It is my desire that the church, this church, becomes the rock, solid, and not giving in to compromise this year. It is apparent that many of us look to the church to validate our "christianity". But can I tell you that it is not the church that is held accounttable for your actions, it is you. And yes, the church will stand, it will prevail. So I beg of you to know that 2010 is the year declared to be that of TRUTH, POWER, AND GLORY! This is the year that the church, this church, shows herself strong. We shall walk in truth, be full of power, and know that the glory of God belongs to us. What profits a man that he should gain the world and lose his soul? How much of you have you lost, and how much of you do you want to reclaim? What do you need to recover?
Saints of God, know that blessings are yours to claim, possess, and stand upon. Jesus was the Cross - bearer. Therefore, the cross has already been borne, so why are you carrying a cross that is not yours to carry? All debts have already been stamped paid in full, for you, by him! To God Be the GLORY, for the things that he has done, that he is doing, and what he shall continue to do in the life of the believere!
Affectionately in the year 2010,
Bishop Marjorie Holt, Ph.D
